CONSULTATIONS & DIAGNOSTICS

CONSULTATIONS

DIAGNOSTIC TESTING
After consultation with our vets, further diagnostics may be recommended. Our diagnostic services help us get a complete picture of your pet’s health. We recommend additional tests to ensure accurate assessment and the best treatment plan.
Our clinics feature an in-house laboratory for blood tests and analysis of body fluids, skin, and tissue samples, allowing us to quickly detect issues and start treatment sooner. We also offer blood pressure measurements and advanced imaging, including radiographs and ultrasonography, to closely evaluate your pet’s internal health.
Our in-house testing provides reliable and rapid results. Your vet will often be able to give you results within 24 hours. Furthermore, we work closely with external laboratories and referral centers to access more complex pathology and diagnostics whenever required.

BLOOD TESTS
Blood tests are an important tool for understanding your pet’s health. We often recommend them when investigating health problems, as part of pre-anaesthetic checks, or for senior pets to monitor age-related changes.
Our in-house laboratory allows us to get quick results, helping guide treatment decisions without delay. Sometimes additional tests, either in-house or through external laboratories, are needed to get a complete picture.
It’s important to remember that abnormal results don’t always mean your pet is sick. Your vet will assess the results and guide you in the right course of action. Blood tests help us detect early changes, monitor chronic conditions, or adjust treatments so your pet can stay healthy and happy.

BODY FLUIDS & TISSUE SAMPLES
Analysis of body fluids and tissue samples is a vital part of understanding your pet’s health. At our clinic, we can perform in-house testing of urine and faeces to quickly detect infections or metabolic changes. We also collect swabs from wounds, ears, skin, and eyes, or take biopsies of lumps and skin conditions that look concerning. These diagnostics help us in the diagnosis of conditions like infections, auto-immune diseases and cancer.
For more complex cases, we will send the samples to an external laboratory for expert pathologist advice. Information from these diagnostics help us make accurate diagnoses, prognoses and tailored treatment plans, ensuring your pet receives the best possible care.

ADVANCED IMAGING
After your consultation with our vets, they may recommend advanced imaging as the next diagnostic step. Our clinics offer in-house radiography, soft tissue ultrasonography and cardiac ultrasounds. These tools allow us to investigate symptoms, monitor ongoing conditions and guide treatment plans with accuracy. It literally helps us make a more complete picture of your pet’s health!
For some procedures your vet will recommend sedation, or general anaesthetic, as the safest way to care for your pet. It helps your pet to stay calm and relaxed, allowing us to capture the best possible images to achieve an accurate diagnosis. We prioritise their safety throughout the procedure.
